too much to say

Some days I have very little to say, and I can spew out crappy poems by the dozen.
Some days I have so much to say ...such important things to say... and that is why I can post nothing.

Afraid I own this one too on occasion. For me, it gets to a point of "where to start? where to stop?" how can I say only as much I have time for or as a reader might read and be even somewhat understood?".

It almost eeems to me akin to the accumulation of thoughts like snow on a polar cap. It is too immense to be comprehended, yet it's still one unit. Eventually the accumulation and pressures calve off an iceburg: a unit unto itself which can be circumscribed by description and beheld by another, even if what keeps it in sight is mostly out of sight (what is under water), it is still a comprehensible chunk.

There. now you can make poetry of it.

Hardly sounds like you.

Sounds more like me, actually. I know the feeling. It's like you've got more to do in a day than your day can handle, so it feels pointless to even get started.

Not so much the amount of words...
some days I write pages and pages.
Sometimes, though, everything I want to say, while perhaps brief, is too important for words... too important to be simply flung into the vacuum of this computer monitor and the cyber abyss.
