Dizzy Spell
Whispers echo;
spin through my head
like crossing winds.
The room goes dark
eyelids surrender
to gravity.
My body turns to water
swept off in currents;
waves driven
by my racing pulse.
Weak, weightless,
mind swimming;
thoughts slip away,
cannot form words,
only feel…
falling.
spin through my head
like crossing winds.
The room goes dark
eyelids surrender
to gravity.
My body turns to water
swept off in currents;
waves driven
by my racing pulse.
Weak, weightless,
mind swimming;
thoughts slip away,
cannot form words,
only feel…
falling.

Is it just the Guinness, maybe?
Haven't had guinness all week. Trying REALLY hard to keep my brain together and Guinness is a depresant, after all.
Actually, I was light-headed because I'd forgotten to eat again. I am quite familiar with passing out because I tend to get very anemic. But, I was playing when I wrote this... yes, this is how I feel when faint, but it is also exactly how I feel when under a "spell", as in when I'm really turned on.
So, (feeling faint) I said to myself "Man, I'm dizzy" and I laughed because I'm used to associating dizzyness with being turned on. I found that funny because I was not turned on, just hungry. So, I wrote this. That's where it came from - malnutrition and word-play.
