My genius neice again. She's 11 now, still working on her first novel (it takes a while when you have trees to climb and video games to play). She may be addicted to computer games and, yes, she draws little mini comic-books... but she's still an outdoorsy girl. Trust me... just try and get the tree-sap out of her hair and you'll know. Isn't she adorable?

What kills me is how both of you scurry up trees like you're a family of friggin' squirrels or something. It's unreal.
I don't scurry that well anymore. I'm old and out of practice. My Dad could climb a tree better at 60 than I ever could. I saw him shimmy up a tree with no side branches 30 foot up in the air faster than I could walk across a room. He doesn't climb much, now. It's bad for his plastic-bionic knees and he's gotta make them last.
I was going to mention, there does't seem to be an side branches to climb. But apparently she is of the squirrel tree climbing faction.
Adorable indeed.
