I did at 3
I do at 30
Stare directly into the sun
now and then

Truth stings,
and is radiantly beautiful.

Nice short one, Noggin.

You didn't give it a title. Can I suggest one? Simply:

Blind

Wonderful. It's been a while since I looked into the sun.

I did at 3 - I do at 30, but now I wear sunglasses. And it's not quite the same.

GK- I think Sight might be more appropriate than Blind.
What good is preserving your sight if you don't use it? If you don't force yourself to see things then you are effectively blind.
My vision isn't perfect, but I push it to show me all it can. I never hide my head in the sand.

FR- Don't go blind. You're dad would be very angry with me. :)

DL- "Round here we wear our sunglasses so we can look cool"-parliament. Are you like the guy in Confederacy of Dunces who wears his sunglasses in a dark, smokey bar? I wear sunglasses sometimes, but just every now and then you have to reaquaint yourself with the #1 reason you can see all that's around you. :)

Yes. You also know where the real truth lies; and oh, how it stings.
